Hi, Soleil Fam!

I’ve been wanting to take some time to share a bit more about my product line choices at Soleil Salon and Spa and why we carry low-impact, organic products. Here’s the inside scoop on why I chose to carry the Oway  products in our little corner shop.

I started researching in Bologna, Italy the Oway products years before I decided to put the on the shelves at Soleil. I wanted to carry more of all organic products because of my personal values and desire to protect my staff and clients from over-exposure to the many ingredients that are often included in American-based companies’ products—ingredients that can be dangerous for your health with continued exposure. I could go on and on about this topic forever, but for now I will focus on the positive.

There are more and more options becoming available for consumers that are safe and good for your body. My concern in choosing a line however, especially with skin and body, was that organic technology needed to perform as well, or better, than the other products I had used for years. Just because it’s organic doesn’t mean it will perform well, and I wanted it all—performance and a company that had high standards for their ingredients. I researched and tested several lines, and I was lucky enough to find Oway, which had only been available in the U.S. for a few months when I started testing their products.

I was so excited to find that the Oway skin & body products performed better than most of the American-based lines I have used in the past. Oway is an Italian-based company that was founded in 1948. They have years and years of experience creating and producing high quality hair care with the best organic ingredients and the strict ethical and sustainable practices that I was looking for. Their styling products also performed at an exceptional level. The scents were some of the most pleasant I’ve experience, and believe me, I’ve worked with a lot of hair products and many of them don’t smell that great.
