Plason is a FDA registered device that uses a new, advanced plasma technology.
How does Plason work?
Plason uses two different handpieces.
The first uses plasma, the fourth state of matter, closest to gas but it has been ionized by the high temperature and high electricity in our natural environment which has been reproduced by the Plason device. The plasma poration handpiece releases ions, which have a positive effect on the skin cells and plasma radicals that are unstable, to stabilize they only attach to bacteria and germs on the skin. When attached, the radicals have a fatal effect on the bacteria, breaking down the molecular structure and sterilizing the skin.
The second handpiece uses stable ultrasound which increases the flow of fluid in a cell’s environment and allowing a greater volume of compounds to enter the cell.
F A Q
-
Does it hurt? No! There are no side effects or downtime. In rare cases you will experience slight redness that normally disappears in less than 20 minutes.
-
How often can I have a treatment? Once or twice a week for fast clearance of acne, we’ve been finding 4 to 6 treatments is the sweet spot. It is recommended to have at least a 24 hour gap in between treatments.
-
How long is the treatment? Please allow 30 minutes for your appointment which will include cleansing, exfoliation, extractions if necessary, and the Plason treatment. If you are in a hurry, we can get it done faster, just ask!
-
Should anyone not have Plason? You should not have a treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a pacemaker or internal defibrillator. We will also avoid permanent implants in the treatment area such as metal, screws or silicone implants.
-
How quickly will I see results? Results can be seen after just 1 treatment, however this isn’t an ablative device—more treatments=more results.
-
Are results permanent? Nothing is 100% permanent, but can your results can be maintained with proper at-home skincare.
-
Do I have to do anything in particular before or after the Plason treatment? Immediately after the treatment the skin may be slightly red, this is normal and will pass in the following 20 minutes. For the next 4 hours, try not to sweat (exercise), and nothing should go on the skin (makeup, water, other products).
